To All Friends Everywhere;
This weekend we explored the theme of living adventurously together, in the rain!
This is the song that we wrote for the weekend.
Where did all the sunshine go?
Will us Quakers ever know?
We made a boat and watched it go
Down the river it will flow
As we saw it float away
Our troubles left for the day.
Our dreams are captured in a tent,
This was where our day was spent.
And now we’re smiling
Because it’s raining
And we’re dreaming
Of the sunshine
Eventually we’ll all go
From this happiness we now know
The wind and rain may come down
The song remains the only sound.
When epilogue is gone and spent
We’ll be warm and dry in our tent.
Us dreaming in our sleep
Of this happiness we now keep.
And now we’re smiling
Because it’s raining
And we’re dreaming
Of the sunshine
