We have two link groups for children and young people in our area. One is for younger children and their families within our Monthly Meeting. This meets about 4 times a year at different Meeting Houses for worship, activities and a shared meal. Please contact Margaret Stenhouse on 01460 234442 for details.
The other link group is for young people of secondary school age within 4 neighbouring Monthly Meetings. We meet 3 times a year for a weekend, staying at different Meeting Houses. Each weekend has a theme, past ones have been, ‘A Balancing Act’, looking at how we juggle our lives between materialism and spirituality, ‘Spirit of Place’, where we looked at those places which had especial meaning for us and why, and constructed our own special place. We have also had visits from the Leaveners,(the Quaker performing arts project) and the Rowntree Fellows Simon Best and Paul Levy, who are working on a project about sharing our spiritual journeys.
